Your Training Needs

The National Response Framework (NRF), and its component National Incident Management System (NIMS) provide core guidance for an “All-Hazard, All-Agency” approach to emergency response operations.  This operational plan extends far beyond the traditional first responder and public safety response model.  All elements of the global response community are expected to be aware of their role in the post-event, post-disaster environment.
  • Pinnacle Emergency Management Training and Consulting, LLC. Staff can provide appropriate, agency specific ICS programs for your organization.

  • Your agency or organization benefits from our expertise in this subject matter area while eliminating the need to develop expensive in-house training programs within critical compliance benchmarks.

  • In addition to NIMS-compliance programs, Pinnacle Emergency Management Training and Consulting, LLC offers programs for law enforcement, corrections, security and other public safety agency personnel.

  • Don’t forget your new employees and their families – pre-deployment seminars prepare your people and their families for the difficulties that arise during long-term deployments.
The list of organizations required to become NIMS compliant is too long for us to list here. Below you will find a brief description of our services for the major organizations active in the post-event response continuum.

  • Private Sector – time is money. Have you developed a continuity of business plan to see you and your staff through the most difficult times you will ever face? Will your business survive?

Law Enforcement - Security - and
Public Safety Agencies

Here are just a few topics available:
  • Response to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)

  • Workplace Violence

  • Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design

  • Threat Assessment of Large Facilities

  • Dignitary Protection

  • Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) Awareness and Immediate Action training for Law Enforcement

Federal Contractors

EPA Regions have added NIMS compliance as a qualifying factor for future disaster-relief funding for ERRS and START program contractors, as illustrated in this excerpt from a recent EPA ERRS contract RFP.

Under this requirement certain Supervisory and key personnel within your organization must be NIMS compliant.  Since NIMS applies to all “responders”, the requirements for compliance is expected to spread throughout the federal bureaucracy. ALL disaster-relief funding is tied to NIMS compliance requirements.

Don’t risk the loss of a multimillion dollar contract for lack of a few days of training for your critical personnel.

Health Care Facilities and Public Health Agencies

The Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) program was developed through a Federally funded National Work Group by members of the HEICS IV Project Organization.

HICS is intended to be used by all hospitals, regardless of their size or patient care capabilities, and to assist with their emergency planning and response efforts for all hazards. By embracing the concepts and incident command design outlined in HICS, a hospital is positioned to be consistent with National Incident Management System incident command design guidelines and to participate in a system that promotes greater national standardization in terminology, response concepts, and procedures.

Pre-Deployment Seminars

    • Pre-Deployment Seminars for New Personnel
  • Former military members and experienced public safety personnel have generally received training to help them prepare for deployment. Those who are being sent to the field for the first time may not recognize the extensive preparation required to have a successful experience.

  • Pinnacle’s staff has extensive military and public safety deployment experience and can provide seminars to help your personnel minimize the stress of their first mission away from home.
    • Pre-Deployment Family Preparation Seminars
  • As difficult as it is for an individual to deploy for the first time, it is even harder for the family unprepared for the separation.

  • Pinnacle’s family preparation seminars cover all of the information a family needs to make appropriate preparations for long term deployments – think of it as a continuity of operations plan for your staff and their families.

Custom Courses

Pinnacle can customize existing courses to incorporate features and hazards specific to your jurisdiction or organization. Course activities geared to your specific region add realism to the group activities and promote a higher level of interest and motivation from the students participation.

If you have a specific topic you want added to an existing program, or have specific hazards that you would like addressed, Pinnacle can adjust the course presentation to cover them.

If you have identified a specific need for training and cannot find an appropriate course, our team of experienced curriculum development personnel can design original, one-of-a-kind courses just for your organization.
